This R&D
priority area is focused on environmental protection and implementing in
Georgia the best practices for planning and construction in HV Energy Sector.
Georgia is a
small country with very sensitive environment and a lot of protected areas. So
our challenge is to harmonize needs of development HV Grid and constructing
network in new areas with necessity of environmental and climate care, deep
consideration of the social-economic impacts.
We shall collect different opinions and solutions, measure and ensure that all of our decisions are optimal for all challenges. Long-term planning and strategic environmental assessment are one of the important parts of such efforts. At the same time, consideration and implementation of a new technological opportunities is necessary goal.
