Ancillary/system services
System Services are vital to proper functioning of the Transmission Grid. System Services also determine the quality of supply. TSOs specifically deal with the following System Services:
a) Frequency containment reserves (primary control)
b) Frequency restoration reserves (secondary control)
c) Frequency replacement reserves (tertiary control)
d) Voltage control
e) Black start .
