Installation of reactors at Gardabani-500 SS
Installation of 500 kV single phase shunt reactors manufactured by Siemens, which were dismantled from Zestaphoni-500 SS, has successfully completed at Gardabani-500 SS.
The shunt reactors replaced the old, Russian-production reactors. With the installation of the shunt reactors, the reliability of the network will considerably increase and the quality of electricity supplied to customers will significantly be improved.
The reactors are equipped with a natural cooling system that significantly increases the timing of their operation. Dismantling and installation activities were performed by GSE Transformers Repair Service.Reactor bus arrangement, cell arrangement, relay and automatic circuit restoration and diagnostic works were also performed by GSE staff.
