Georgian State Electrosystem Started Educational Tours for Senior Pupils from the Regions of Georgia
Georgian State Electrosystem is hosting senior pupils from Lentekhi and Tsageri municipalities on 26-27 October, within the frame of the GSE educational tour. Students have been taken on an excursion to Zhinvali Hydropower Plant, where they saw the dam, heard the HPP history and were acquainted with the power generation process.
Within the tour, the senior pupils will meet Georgian Minister of Energy Ilia Eloshvili at GSE Head Office. After the meeting, they will visit the National Dispatch Centre, and will have a small lecture on energetics in general and the role of Georgian State Electrosystem in the development of the country's energy sector. After the National Dispatch Centre, the senior pupils will visit the Navtlughi Substation and GSE Training Centre Polygon, where they will take part in various electrical equipment-testing processes.
Georgian State Electrosystem has been implementing the program for two years already throughout Tbilisi. Schools of different regions of Georgia were also involved in the educational tour, taking into consideration the positive results of the program and feedback. Energy sustainability is one of the main factors for the country's economy; therefore, providing information to the new generation on this topic and making the young people get interested in energy sector is one of the priorities for GSE.
