Georgian State Electrosystem Dispatcher Trainings in Portugal
From September 12 to September 14 inclusive, Dispatchers of the National Dispatch Center of the Georgian State Electrosystem were on a working visit to the National Dispatch Center of REN, ENTSO-E (European Network of Electricity Transmission System Operators) member company, in the city of Sacavem, Portugal.
Within the framework of the visit, trainings were conducted on Dispatch Center and network operation structure, joint operation of interconnecting transmission system operators, functional requirements of the dispatcher-training simulator and other issues.
The training will assist GSE dispatchers to operate new and renewable power plants (wind, sun), power facilities in a more efficient way, and to train and retrain staff, which will facilitate the rapid energy development of the country.
