Vano Zardiashvili Visited the Under-Construction Ruisi Wind Power Plant
General Director of the Georgian State Electrosystem Vano Zardiashvili, visited the wind power plant currently under construction in the territory adjacent to the village of Ruisi, in Kareli Municipality.
The construction project of the Ruisi power plant envisages the installation of a total of 33 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 206 MW, which is being carried out by the company Wind Power.
The infrastructure of the Georgian State Electrosystem is ready for the integration of the power plant into the grid. Specifically, four 220 kV cells equipped with modern control and protection systems have already been installed at the Ruisi substation and are currently in testing mode. Additionally, the construction of four 220 kV power transmission lines, totaling 9 km in length, is nearing completion.
Under the grid connection agreement signed between the Georgian State Electrosystem and Wind Power, the connection of the Ruisi wind power plant to the grid will be carried out in three stages by the end of 2026.
