Educational Tour at Georgian State Electrosystem
High school students from the Academy of Modern Education visited the Georgian State Electrosystem as part of an educational tour.
At GSE's headquarters, students were given a presentation on both the role of Georgian State Electrosystem in the development of the country's energy sector, as well as general energy topics, including the development of renewable energy production. The meeting was conducted in an interactive format.
The high school students visited the National Dispatch Center and became familiar with the main principles of its functioning. They observed the control panel equipped with the latest technologies, which is responsible for the operational management of the country's energy system.
The educational tour continued at GSE's Navtlughi 220 substation, where students received information about the functioning of electicity transmission lines and substations, and were directly involved in the process of checking electrical transmission lines with various electrical equipment. They toured GSE's training center, where future energy specialists undergo free internships with employment prospects.
Georgian State Electrosystem has been conducting educational tours for students from schools in Tbilisi and the regions since 2016, which primarily serves to interest the new generation in the energy field. GSE is oriented towards familiarizing more young people with the large-scale projects underway at the company and the modern technologies that have been implemented. Educational tours for students from various schools are planned throughout the year.
