Vano Zardiashvili at the Conference Organized by BAG
Vano Zardiashvili, Director General of the Georgian State Electrosystem, attended the conference "Review of Georgia's Economy: Macroeconomic and Sectoral Perspectives" organized by the Business Association of Georgia.
The conference was opened with a speech by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and was attended by Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvirkvishvili, other members of the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as representatives from the public and business sectors.
In his speech, Irakli Kobakhidze focused on the optimization carried out in state-owned enterprises, which resulted in savings of 700 million GEL, and also spoke about existing deficiencies in infrastructure. According to the Prime Minister, fair competition will be ensured, which should ensure cost-effectiveness and improvement in the quality of completed projects.
Mariam Kvirkvishvili spoke about the ongoing optimization process in the energy sector and announced significant changes in the near future, as a result of which the country's energy system will have considerable resources to accelerate major projects. The Minister noted that decisions will be transparent and at the same time strict and fair.
