Vano Zardiashvili Attended the Economic Forum Discussion
Vano Zardiashvili, Director General of Georgian State Electrosystem, attended the Economic Forum discussion on the topic "Georgia's Energy Policy 2025 - Summary and Expectations."
At the event, Inga Pkhaladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, spoke about the country's energy policy and the vision for the sector's development. The discussion also touched upon the progress of major projects in the energy sector, with particular emphasis on the significance of the Black Sea underwater cable project, which the Government of Georgia is actively working on. The conference noted that against the backdrop of existing global challenges, strengthening energy efficiency, promoting the development of renewable energy sources, and liberalizing the energy market are the most important directions of economic policy.
The event was moderated by Giorgi Abashishvili, founder of Business Insider Georgia.Speakers included Shota Berekashvili, Chairman of the Parliament's Economic Policy Committee, Davit Narmania, Chairman of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, and Archil Gachechiladze, Director General of Bank of Georgia.
