Meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia
Director General of Georgian State Electrosystem Vano Zardiashvili and First Deputy Director General of JSC UES Sakrusenergo Irakli Kenchiashvili met with Ashot Smbatyan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia.
The parties discussed the importance of the electricity transmission line interconnecting the two countries, the necessity of strengthening it, opportunities for increasing electricity exchange, and issues related to deepening future cooperation. It was noted that strengthening energy security on a regional scale represents one of the main priorities, and work in this direction will continue actively.
The meeting was also attended by Aren Arakelyan, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia.
