World Bank Delegation Visit to Substation Tskaltubo 500

Georgian State Electrosystem has been implementing the construction of the strategically important substation Tskaltubo 500 for the development of the country's energy network with the financial support of the World Bank since 2022.
The construction and installation of main equipment at the substation have already been completed. At this stage, final testing of the equipment is underway.
As a result of the project's completion, the high-voltage transmission network will be significantly strengthened, enabling the connection of new hydroelectric power plants to Georgia's energy system. This will lead to an increase in regional infrastructure capacity and maximize the country's electricity export and transit potential.
