Management of Georgian State Electrosystem Visited the Ongoing Infrastructural Works in Guria Region
Giorgi Gigineishvili, Director General of Georgian State Electrosystem and First Deputy Director General, Lasha Khmiadashvili visitied Guria Region and got acquainted with the ongoing process of large-scale energy projects of GSE.
The management of GSE visited the construction process of the new Substation Ozurgeti 220/110 kV and the 110 kV power transmission line Ozurgeti-Zoti.
„This is a very important project for the region. After its completion, reliability of the transmission infrastructure will increase in Guria and Adjara regions, which will strengthen the transmission network of Georgia," Giorgi Gigineishvili said.
The above mentioned project is being implemented within the framework of Energy Network Improvement Programme (ENIP). ENIP is an extensive investment programme into Georgia’s transmission infrastructure realized by the partnership between the European Union, GSE and KfW, working as Team Europe.The total investment of ENIP is EUR 270 Mio, co-financed by KfW on behalf of the Federal Republic of Germany and EBRD, including EUR 9.9 Mio grant funding from the EU Neighbourhood Investment Platform (EU NIP) implemented by KfW.
