Meetings Between Representatives of Georgian State Electrosystem, TEIAS and EKC

Joint working meetings between representatives of the Georgian State Electrosystem, the Turkish Electricity Transmission Company (TEIAS) and the Electricity Coordinating Center (EKC) were organized by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US Energy Association (USEA). These meetings took place in Tbilisi, as well as the Samtskhe-Javakheti and Adjara regions.

The purpose of the meetings was to introduce new market mechanisms in cross-border trade, analyze the relevant information, and discuss appropriate recommendations and suggestions developed based on this analysis.

The parties visited the Akhaltsikhe and Batumi substations belonging to the Georgian State Electrosystem.The Georgian and Turkish colleagues also discussed new opportunities for cooperation, which will contribute to the maximum utilization of the energy potential of both countries and ensure a reliable electrical energy connection between these strategic partners.
