Meeting within the Framework of Energy Security Program
A joint working meeting of Georgian State Electrosystem representatives, MERCADOS company and Asian Development Bank (ADB) was held at the head office of GSE.
The conversation touched on the volume of work needed to determine the optimal power and capacity of energy storage batteries.
The participants of the meeting discussed Georgian power system operation scenarios, the principles of battery modeling, the possible locations for installing energy storage batteries and the peculiarities of the battery operation in the conditions of the new electricity market. Energy storage batteries will play an important role for the Georgian transmission system stability and ensure the safe supply of electricity.
