Meeting with Electricity Market Participants
Giorgi Gigineishvili, Director General of Georgian State Electrosystem and Zviad Gachechiladze, Director of Organized Market Development and Electricity Accounting participated at the meeting organized by Georgian Business Association regarding the opening of the electricity market.The event was attended by Romeo Mikautadze, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Davit Narmania, Chair of Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, Irina Milorava, Director of Georgian Energy Exchange, electricity producers and other market participants.
Zviad Gachechiladze delivered presentation - Overview of the balancing and ancillary services market, including information on important changes in the rules of the balancing and ancillary services market and other issues.
At the meeting, they discussed the issues related to the opening of the electricity market and related reforms. The conversation also touched on the results of trading in the test mode and the challenges and experiences that the market participants have accumulated while trading in the mentioned test mode.
