Conference on Renewable Energies
Giorgi Gigineishvili, Director General of Georgian State Electrosystem attended the three-day renewable energy investment conference. The conference was organized by the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission, Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER) project - European Union for Energy (EU4Energy) and Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA).
The theme of the conference was accelerating the process of shifting to green energy by increasing investments in renewable energies. While discussions participants touched the importance of energy obtained from renewable sources for the country's energy security, got acquainted with the investment climate in different countries, also reviewed the issues of the regulatory framework of Georgia in the direction of renewable energy investments and potential investment projects.
Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) is a non-profit organization comprised of independent regulatory bodies of different countries. One of the founders of the association is the National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission of Georgia.
