Students of Ilia Vekua School at Georgian State Electrosystem
The senior students of Tbilisi Ilia Vekua Physics-Mathematical School 42nd visited Georgian State Electrosystem. Giorgi Gigineishvili, GSE Director General, a graduate of Vekua School, met the students, shared his experience and talked to the seniors about the importance of the energy sector.
The students visited the National Dispatch Center at the GSE head office, which is responsible for controlling the country's energy system. Presentations were made on energy in general, the functioning of the Georgian State Electrosystem and its role in the development of the country's energy sector. During the tour, they also visited the GSE training ground and took part in testing various electrical equipment.
The students' visit took place within the framework of a study tour, which GSE has been conducting since 2016 in order to popularize the energy sector among the younger generation, and dozens of schools from Tbilisi and regions took part in it.
