As Part of the SCADA Upgrade Project, In-house Testing Conducted
Employees of the Georgian State Electrosystem participated in the in-house testing of the SCADA upgrade project in Vienna, Austria, with the aim of testing the functionality of the upgraded SCADA system modules.
Along withGSE dispatch structural units, representatives of the consulting company PWC also participated in the testing. Testing was performed on 16 components of SCADA / EMS and included 613 tests. As a result, a detailed schedule of works and system configuration work were written.
SCADA upgrade project aims at data collecting, processing, refining remote control processes and moving to a whole new level of development. The implementation of the project is of great importance in terms of measuring, monitoring and remote control of data coming from substations, as the upgraded program ensures more information exchange and efficient control.
The project is being implemented under the auspices of the World Bank Transmission Grid strengthening Project and is expected to be completed in 2020.
