IFARI OHL Has Been Completely Restored
Georgian State Electrosystem has completed restoration works on the IFARI OHL located in Svaneti Municipality.
The transmission line connects Kvemo Svaneti and Mestia substations and its main route runs through 3000 meters above sea level. The IFARI OHL is the single source of power supply to Svaneti along with the KHUDONI OHL. Georgian State Electrosystem completed the full rehabilitation of the KHUDONI OHL in 2018.
The smooth and reliable operation of the IFARI OHL is of great importance in terms of power supply and tourism development in Svaneti. That is why, irrespective of difficult geographical location, Georgian State Electrosystem used all possible resources to complete the rehabilitation process within the defined timeframe.
At present, the transmission line has been completely restored.
